ABOUT OUR TOWN

Promoted as the Heart of the Parks, Tintinara is surrounded by 10 national parks. Of these parks the most notable include:
- Ngarkat Conservation Park
- Coorong National Park
- Messent Conservation Park
- Mount Boothby Conservation Park

Well suited to the traveller, Tintinara houses 4 fuel and food outlets. Apex Park provides a welcoming stop for travelers, featuring a children’s playground, picnic benches and toilet facilities. Close by is the Heart of the Parks (craft and tourist information centre), an outlet for locally produced craft, gifts, produce, souvenirs and art gallery. Accommodation includes a Motel, small Caravan Park, Hotel and Bed and Breakfast. RAA service and local tyre centre are also located in the main street.  

Local landholders are well provided for by three stock agents/ agricultural dealers. Other businesses providing service and employment to the local community include, Candy Canvas, IGA supermarket, Tintinara Engineering, Post Office and the Tintinara Hotel.

Tintinara Area School provides curriculum for children for years reception onwards. A child parent centre and play group also operate two days a week.
